It’s been a minute … Four months to be exact … since my last post. The love and apparent “dream like” life had me mesmerized for a bit of time. It coerced me into reevaluating my own life just a little deeper.
My epic birthday celebration, followed by a sad break-up, took me down in a way that required deep, internal examination. Morocco and Egypt cracked me open and then well, there were the holidays, followed by a whirlwind trip to NYC with my daughter.
Life can be like that … just busy enough that you don’t much give attention to your heart. Until the doctor tells you there is an electrical “misfire” causing irregular heartbeats and high blood pressure.
Isn’t this practice supposed to fix these things?
Yes, and … I believe that when we experience something like this, it’s a time for transformation. For a deeper look inward. For a realignment of possibilities and perspectives.
It’s not to say things are “wrong” or what has happened up until now was a waste of time. Instead, I believe times like this are an internal soul upgrade. Which requires less output and more input.
So, I’ve been “inputting”: yoga, nature walks, strength training, meditating, journaling, doctor visits, disciplining myself with new “life protocol” for an elevated experience.
2025 is a “9” universal year, one that will, astrologically prove that change is in the air. And we can either dance along with those cosmic changes or get hung up on the old, stagnant version of ourselves.
Here are some questions for you today, questions that I have been asking myself daily:
Where were you a year ago? Physically, mentally, emotionally, spiritually? What has changed for you? How far have you come?
What were you wishing for last year that is happening now? Have you noticed it?
What has this new space of being cost you? Relationships? Money? Discipline?
What’s most important to you in the coming year? Financially? In your relationships? With your health? In your career?
What will you need to do, how will you need to discipline yourself in order to experience these ideals?
And finally … if one of your desires is say, more money … dig deeper. What does “more money” represent to you? Freedom? Power? Peace? If it’s an intimate partnership, what will that “give” you? Stability? Security? A sense of belonging?
This last question / invitation can be a bit challenging, but it will give you the depth of recognizing your true desires. It will tell you the emotional needs that you yourself, can begin to provide for yourself so you start to find that internal beacon within.
It was always you. I would love to hear your responses via the comments. Feel free to email me too. I love you - happy new year.
Love you Dana ❤️
