Changing Seasons
This is the month of change, the Autumn Equinox turns us toward a new season. Of darkness, of rest, of taking a moment to slow down and drink our pumpkin latte. Before that though, of course, we enjoy the harvest of our summer months. We linger just a bit longer in the sun, take our walks every night in hopes to get our steps in, but also to enjoy those later evenings, as the sun drops behind the horizon earlier and earlier, every day.
We are just like nature you know. One of our misalignments as a human, is disregarding this truth. We run opposite of our seasonal shift and keep "grinding", or burn the midnight oil when everything tells us to rest. We eat produce “off season” because it’s what we want, instead of allowing our bodies to tend to its natural cycles. We have fallen out of alignment with the Moon and well … I’ll leave that for another post.
